Trying to Conceive
I'm going to be 31 and we are starting to try this month to get pregnant. After reading up on fertility I found a few things that concerned me. First, I was a light smoker for almost 15 years. It got a bit heavier in college but then I slowed down and only smoke when i have cocktails. Has this affected my fertility? Does it return to normal after I quit? Also, as a college grad and a girl that fully enjoyed her youth I did tend to binge drink for years (weekends) particularly in my 20's. Does this affect my fertility? Again if I stop does it return to normal? I'm just very worried about all these things and would like to know if anyone had similar experiences and how trying to conceive went for them? 1 Amrita

Hello! Amrita. According to my view, I don't think smoking can effect fertility but smoking during pregnancy may affect you baby. I would like to suggest you to try for conceive for some time. I think you will get success. 2 Ankita

I am also trying to conceive. I never listened that smokers cannot become parents. Some of my friends are also smokers. They quit when they were pregnant. Nothing negative happened to them. Try to find out more reasons. As you can have hormonal issues. Also if you have an abortion history. I abort one of my children. But now I am not getting pregnant again. This is really heartbroken for me. I want to pursue my career that is the reason. I am now planning for surrogacy. 3 Alexcade

Hello dear. I hope you are doing good. I know your situation. You better stop smoking and drinking alcohol. Cigarettes and alcohol are not good for fertility and pregnancy. But that does not mean a smoker can not get pregnant. It's good you run a healthy lifestyle today. When you quit smoking and also drink alcohol may be a little help your condition better. You should consult with your doctor. The doctor will give some advice to you. Maybe you will get some vitamins. Don't forget to do sports. I hope this helps you a little. Sure you can have a child. Good luck 4 brylia39

Well dear, I am very much shocked to learn about this. Even though smoking and drinking don't affect fertility, women who smoke or drink, don't make good mothers. Secondly, try not to go back to these habits ever again. Now let me begin. All the best to you and I hope your result is positive. I have been infertile for over 12 years and I know the value of children and pregnancy. Make sure you consult your doctor. He can tell you when you are ovulating. If you try on the day you are ovulating, you have a good chance. If however, you are concerned, it won't be wrong to visit a fertility clinic. And if God forbid, it turns out that you can't conceiev dont panic. Start the treatment earnestly. My tion is rare and currently has no cure. But your case might be different Anyways, good luck. 5 Selina Dylan

hey amrita smokers take longer to conceive than non-smokers and are more likely to have fertility problems. Women who smoke or are exposed to other people's smoke – have an increased risk of infertility and are more likely to take longer to get pregnant. 7 mindy mowrey

Hi there. How are you? Look; let me tell you what, unhealthy diet and alcohol is not good for anything. No good for reproductive system or for any organ. I am quite concerned for you too. Smoking cigarettes is perhaps the No. 1 reason of unfavorable outcomes for babies. Babies born prematurely, babies born too small, babies who die before they can be born at all. In contrast, pregnancies would be safer and babies would be better if pregnant smokers could someway change their routine before they are identified a grave disease such as diabetes or high blood pressure. Cigarette smoke includes more than 4,000 chemicals, including truthfully spiteful components such as cyanide, lead, and at least 60 cancer-causing compounds. When you smoke in pregnancy, that toxic infuse into your bloodstream, your baby's lone resource of oxygen and nutrients. Whilst none of those 4,000-plus chemicals is good for your baby, two ingredients are particularly injurious: nicotine and carbon monoxide. These two toxins account for approximately each smoking-related impediment in pregnancy. The most grave impediments – counting stillbirth, premature delivery, and low birth weight – can be added up to the truth that nicotine and carbon monoxide work jointly to diminish your baby's supply of oxygen. Nicotine throttles off oxygen by contraction blood vessels all through your body, counting the ones in the umbilical cord. It's a small force your baby to respire through a thin straw. To craft matters bad, the red blood cells that hold oxygen begin to pick up molecules of carbon monoxide as an alternative. Abruptly, that thin straw doesn't even hold a large amount oxygen as it ought to be. I was asked whether I was an addict of smoking before undergoing my fertility treatment in clinic “BioTexCom”. I was advised strictly not to smoke; otherwise I would have grave outcomes. Hope the best for you. Nancy!! 11 Nancy

Hello, but you must understand that your periodic smoking and alcoholic cocktails are not the most important cause of infertility. And if you stop smoking and drinking alcoholic cocktails, then this will undoubtedly have a positive effect on your body. But, of course, this will not solve the problem of infertility. You are still very young and it is important for you not to miss your chance. You need to think about conceiving a child with IVF or a surrogacy. While you are young, I hope your eggs are still suitable for fertilization. You need to find a good doctor and a clinic. Then the doctor will tell you about those options that will be really effective for you. And if you wait that the problem of infertility is solved if you give up smoking and alcohol, then you simply lose time. But, of course, if you want to have a healthy baby, then smoking and alcohol are your enemies. Since smoking and alcohol have a negative effect on the condition of the oocytes. It seems to me that you need to solve your problem more seriously. Because time goes fast enough. Now you are 31 years old, and you think that everything is still ahead. But not always the attempts of IVF end successfully. In addition, they require additional preparation. 12 silvi
